President Joe Biden signed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) into law on March 11, 2021. Designed to bolster public health capacity, stimulate economic recovery, and reduce inequities, these funds represent an unprecedented potential to invest in communities and increase health equity.

This website contains a synthesis of the legislation from the bill itself, federal department websites, grants.gov, and other third-party resources to help you see how these funds might be used to develop cross-sector plans or processes to promote equitable, healthy communities.

Following the Public Health 3.0 model, this website enables you to visualize and think strategically about ARPA funding and leverage this funding to address the multitude of conditions across sectors that impact health equity. The interactive visualizations presented on this, and other site pages, are designed to help you interact with the legislation across federal departments and jurisdictions.

Each section of legislation has been coded to reflect the five social determinants of health domains, as defined in Healthy People 2030.
